Three of my four Bible studies finished our study

Three of my four Bible studies finished our study of the book of Esther last week, and I have been reflecting on what God taught me through it.

The phrase most people associate with Esther is "for such a time as this" - the idea that God puts us in places for a specific purpose at a specific time. And I always love that reminder. But I also came away with so much more from the book of Esther than that.

I think what's most unique about the book is that God is never mentioned, and yet there is no doubt that He is at work throughout the story. That is the lesson that I keep coming back to - that God is always as work, even when I don't see it or when it doesn't feel like it. He is at work keeping His promises on behalf of His people.
